We actively pursue experiential field trips and hands on learning for students.
Bainbridge Academy offers 1st through 12th grade education. The Lower School Students typically range from 6 to 12 years of age. The Upper School Students typically range from 13 to 18 years of age.
Our programs are designed to teach our student’s with below average to above average cognitive ability who have co-occurring language-based learning differences (including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Auditory Processing, Attention Deficit Disorders, and Sensory Processing Disorders).
The students who will benefit from our program often have fallen behind in school. They have academic weakness in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, attention, and expressive / receptive language deficits.
Our students are able to graduate with a regular diploma when all credit hours have been met. Those who have not met the required credit hours for a regular diploma are awarded a certificate of completion at the time of graduation.
Students with extensive needs are able to extent their enrollment in our program at Bainbridge Academy for up to 22 years of age in order to obtain the required credit hours necessary to graduate with a standard diploma.
Our program is unable to accommodate students with disruptive behaviors.
Students who struggle in their Academic Subjects are placed in classes according to where they are currently performing, not based upon their traditional grade level. Each student is able to obtain the foundational information that was missed in a more traditional classroom setting.
