Bainbridge Academy Teachers Have The Training To Work With Students With Learning Disabilities

Our teachers provide instruction to address each student’s individual shortcomings in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and History. At Bainbridge Academy we know how to help each student engage and increase their self-esteem. We provide caring, knowledgeable teachers who are able to help our students identify their needs. The teachers are able to provide instruction in each student’s learning style.

Bainbridge Academy’s Education Program

Bainbridge Academy provides students with Learning Disabilities with a program focused on Academics and Education. Our program gives students with learning disabilities the means to achieve their maximum potential. We present our students with challenging grade appropriate material. In order to foster student learning, multi-sensory teaching techniques are utilized to master both the skills and content of the subjects they are learning. Orton-Gillingham is the foundation of all instruction. At Bainbridge Academy there is small group instruction so that our students receive a high degree of direct individualized instruction with feedback.

The curriculum has support from as much experiential learning as possible. A variety of activities and community outings help support the classroom learning.

Standard Diploma

All students are provided grade level academics throughout their school day. This approach allows our teaching staff to modify and / or adjust the lesson plans. Then the lesson plans will be at an appropriate level for each student whether they need remediation, need grade level or need above grade level instruction. The textbooks match each students needs. The textbooks have larger fonts, more illustrations, and less text per page for each student.
